Plot:
Lucifer has been ruling hell for so many years and now is tired of it. Leaving his position in Hell, now he is enjoying his time on earth as a nightclub owner in Los Angeles. He operates his nightclub called Lux with his closest friend from hell, a demon name Mazikeen. Lucifer has a charming personality and he is always doing favors for helping people in some way but on one condition that he is going to come and collect it and you better be ready to repay the favor, even if you can't.
For this reason Lucifer is popular among many people. After witnessing a murder of his acquaintance Lucifer puts himself on the path of vengeance and in the path of Detective Chloe Decker. Lucifer has a mojo and he utilized it to get suspects to confess their innermost desires. But detective Chloe is not a fan of his charm and stops him from taking law in his own hands. But after his help in solving the case Lucifer and Chloe both come to an agreement and now he works as a Civilian consultant for LAPD. They started solving cases together. This position gave him an outlet to punish sinners. Lucifer also has a brother named Amenadiel and you can see him convincing Lucifer to go back to Hell where he is supposed to be.
Season 2 shows Lucifer’s conflicts with his father the God. Due to Amenadiel’s blunder, Hell was let unguarded for a short time allowing Lucifer’s mother, the goddess of creation yo escape hell and arrive on earth. Now Lucifer has to find his mother and take her back to Hell. But things are not easy this time. He and Amenadiel faces many problems while sending their mum back to hell.
The 3rd season is very long and has total 26 episodes. In this season, Lucifer’s wings have returned, but they come at the loss of another aspect of his identity. He tried cutting them off but they are always returning and Lucifer is trying to find why is this happening to him and who is behind this. Later, Lucifer finds out that a mysterious crime boss known as The Sinnerman has moved to L.A. and also LAPD gets a new lieutenant. While in search of Sinnerman Lucifer learns the truth and try to stop the Sinnerman for good. At the end of season 3, Lucifer reveals his true identity to Chloe.
In Season 4, Chloe is furious after knowing the truth about Lucifer. She is trying to find answers, questioning if the man she knows is all an act by the incarnate of evil or if Lucifer truly is a good man. In search of answers, devastated Chloe betrays Lucifer by agreeing to help father Kinley. Even after chloe realized she was wrong , Lucifer couldn't bring himself to forgive her. Things get even worse when Lucifer’s ex-girlfriend Eve(as in Adam and Eve) shows up. To prevent the world ending prophecy, Lucifer broke up with Eve. But even after all that prophecy came true and now Lucifer must go back to Hell to keep all Demons in line. Chloe and Lucifer share a moment before parting ways.
In season 5A, Chloe is missing Lucifer and trying her best to keep her mind off of him. Then Lucifer’s twin brother Michael shows up on earth and is creating havoc. To stop him from doing anymore damage Lucifer also shows up. But after learning about Chloe’s secrete from amenadiel and all the manipulations by Michael everything gets messy lots of things happen. The season ends with three siblings fighting with each other and now God himself has to interfere.
Conclusion:
I found this series pretty entertaining. Tom ellis plays Lucifer really well.Writers presented different Biblical references so that people can relate to the characters. A completely different perspective of how we see Lucifer. A fallen angel who runs Hell and yet has a conscience/heart to feel pain and fight injustice is simply an amazing concept. God gave us free will and the excuse of "The Devil made me do it" seems frivolous as we are responsible for the choices we make. So if you haven’t watched Lucifer yet we recommend you to watch and if you already have then let us know what you think about the series.

Netflix dropped the trailer for season 5 part B which has eight episodes and is the final season of the series. Season 5 part B is scheduled to be released on May 28, 2021. We might get to see a celestial battle between brothers.
